Leading biometric solutions provider, Argus Global, has been presented with an award for Biometric Vendor of the Year, at the Frost & Sullivan Australia Best Practices Awards 2010. The event took place on 30th November at Sheraton on the Park in Sydney.
This was the 5th awards ceremony to be staged by Frost & Sullivan awards and was once again designed to recognise outstanding performance of companies in the Information Communications Technology (ICT) industry in Australia.
Each organisation is benchmarked against companies in their category, with the award winners recognised as leaders within their sector. This year's awards were focused on three industry categories: Security & Infrastructure, Enterprise Communications and Telecommunications.
Commenting on the awards, Mark Dougan, Managing Director for Frost & Sullivan in Australia and New Zealand, says: "The ICT industry in Australia has recovered well from the effects of the global financial crisis, and we are seeing good growth resume across most segments of the industry. This year's award recipients are to be congratulated on growing their businesses in these challenging market conditions."
Argus Global has provided biometric solutions to Australian organisations for over 13 years and is recognised both at home and internationally for pioneering work within biometrics. The company has continued to grow well in the recession, marked by a rebrand earlier this year and the recent opening of offices in the UK to support greater expansion within Europe. |

|
Argus Global delivers enterprise level biometric solutions that help improve time capture, access control, visitor management, asset management and key management. Each solution is geared towards reducing risk, increasing efficiency and improving information management.
The company serves organisations such as the military, government departments and blue chip companies that are seeking absolute assurance of identity. It also helps clients in specialist areas, such as hospitals, where managing the dispensing of controlled substances via careful identity management is critical.
Argus’ software works in conjunction with a full range of biometric devices that can read everything from a fingerprint and a face, to an iris, and in many cases these technologies are combined in a single Argus application.
All applications are developed with flexibility in mind and as such can easily integrate with most third party solutions – ensuring a layered approach to any IT strategy, alongside improved quality of data. |
